It was a small bay near our home, where we went to swim. I was able to swim back then, but everyone who didn’t know before learned it then. Because of my white skin, I wanted to tan and that’s why most of the time I layed on the scorching sun. However I just blushed. One day our kid’s doctor(who was on vacation with us) noticed tiny white dots on my wrists. He strictly forbade me to sunbathe, but by then it was too late, due to the lack of pigment, a process had begun. Slowly, over the years, the white spots grew and absorbed the brown! I was lucky not to be noticed in winter because of my white skin.
